Samsung Galaxy Star officially launched in India for Rs. 5240

Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Star (GT-S5282). IIt was announced last month along with the Galaxy Pocket Neo and went on sale online earlier this week. It  packs a 3-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz  processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera,  2G (EDGE) support and has Dual SIM support with Smart Dual SIM feature that enables the user to receive calls on one SIM number while taking a call from the other.

It has Intelligent Motion UI that maximizes smart features for the most responsive, intuitive user experience. It comes pre-loaded with ChatOn, Samsung’s cross-platform messaging service and has Google Now. It has pre-loaded apps from various categories including e-books, games, news, navigation, productivity, social networking and more.

Lava Iris 501 gets Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Lava has announced the Jelly Bean update for their Android smartphone, the Iris 501 (also known as Iris N501). It was launched earlier this year for Rs. 9,999, now the phone is available for Rs. 7,999. The Iris 501 runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and company launched the Iris 502 recently for Rs. 8,499 that runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box, which is now available for Rs. 7,499. The company usually announces a new phone every Friday in their promotion Blockbuster Phoneday.
This is definitely a great news for the Iris 501 users. Indian smartphone companies such as Micromax and Salora recently rolled out the Jelly Bean update for their smartphone recently.
It has a 5-inch (480 × 800 pixels) display, has dual SIM support and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek processor. It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, 0.3MP front-facing camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD and packs a 2300 mAh battery.
Current Lava Iris 501 users can get their devices upgraded to the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) at any of Lava’s service centre across India free of cost.

Sony Xperia SP launched in India for Rs. 27490

Sony has launched the Xperia SP, the company’s latest Android smartphone in the Xperia range in India. It was announced last month and packs a  4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and a VGA front-facing camera.
The Xperia SP has a aluminium frame and colour-changing transparent element with customized illuminations which can be personalized to alert you of incoming calls and text messages. It has One-touch functions with NFC to display content on your TV or to share music and photos between devices and Battery STAMINA Mode for optimum battery life.

iBall Slide 6309i

iBall has launched Slide 6309i, a new tablet in the Slide series. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. iBall launched the Edu-Slide i1017 with a 10.1-inch HD IPS display last month. The HCL ME Y3 and the Byond Mi-book Mi7 has similar features, but both these tablets run on Android 4.0 and come with 3G support and voice calling features.

Karbonn Smart Tab TA-FONE A37, the company’s new tablet in the Smart Tab range is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has dual SIM slot with 3G support, voice calling and SMS. HCL ME Tablet Y3 has similar features including dual SIM support, voice calling and 3G but runs on Android 4.0 ICS. Micromax A72 Canvas Viva with 5-inch display

Micromax is all set to launch the A72 Canvas Viva, dual SIM Android smartphone with a 5-inch display. It has been spotted on Flipkart. Even though this has a large 5-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, it has a 1 GHz single-core processor, runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and comes with 2G (EDGE) support. It has a 3MP camera without flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. This would be a budget version of the Micromax A100 and it’s successor Micromax A110, that were launched last year.

To get the offer, Vodafone customers have to dial *444#. There you will see an option written as TRIAL. In Haryana it's on No.2

Reply with the number and you will find two options again,

Those who want 2G offer, reply with option 1 else reply 2 for 3G Data offer.

Method for those who are not getting option on USSD Menu.

1. For 2G Trial Pack, SMS ACT TRY2G to 111. Rs.25 will be deducted after SMS and 500 MB 2G data will be credited.

2. For 3G Trial Pack, SMS ACT TRY3G to 111. Rs.49 will be deducted after SMS and 500 MB 3G data will be credited.

To check data you can use any one of these option.

1. Dial *111#. Select Language by replying with 1 or 2. Then choose Data Plan option. In Haryana it shows on No.6. Reply with 2 to know data left. Direct code in Haryana *111*2*6*2#.
